Accidents and Injury:

"I'm scared of getting ripped off by one of these cowboy claims companies"

This is just the sort of comment that our clients make. There has been such an enormous change in the world of compensation claims over the last 5 years that it can be a scary thing to go into - some people don't bother claiming compensation because of the horror stories they have heard!

Stories of high pressure sales techniques and middlemen taking half your compensation have cropped up in the papers with alarming regularity. We weren't best pleased with these companies either because they were taking a chunk of the clients compensation

Thankfully many of these companies have now gone out of business. Although we aim to be forward-looking we are a 'proper' firm of solicitors, and have been winning compensation on behalf of our clients since we first started, back in 1888. We're proud of our customer care record in the firm as a whole, but in our department we can feel even more proud as we haven't had a complaint about our service in the last 10 years. This is not easy to do, let me tell you. But don't take our word for it - Click "client comments" in the navigation panel (or here) to see what some of our clients have said

Can I Claim?
This is the $64,000 (or £2500!) question. If you've had an accident and it was someone else's fault then you may be able to claim compensation. Even if you think it was nobody's fault you may be surprised. Basically - if you've had an injury, read the guide - it will tell you straight, in plain English, whether or not you can make a claim. Click "Can I Claim" in the navigation panel (or click here) to see the 'Can I Claim' page

Beginners Guide
Now, one of the biggest problems many of our clients have is understanding the compensation process. It can appear long-winded and more than a little confusing to our clients (actually it's pretty confusing to most human beings). Because of that we've prepared a beginners guide in plain English that you can print out and keep. By all means put it on your wall or even turn it into a tapestry, but please don't use it for commercial gain. Click "Beginners Guide" in the navigation panel (or click here) to see the beginners guide.

Frequently Asked Questions
Or, if you prefer, a FAQ. We've pulled together all the sort of questions that people have asked us over the years. These include "How much is my finger worth" to "What if someone falls over on my land", and we've put them all here. We've even given the answers as well! If you feel there are other questions that should be covered on there then there is also a form for you to submit what you think should be included. Click "Frequent Questions" in the navigation panel (or click here) to see the FAQ.
